Nail Polish: Mint Apple

SINFUL COLORS - Mint Apple

Available in most Walgreens for only $1.99!!! (here) "4th one in the 3rd row"

Helloooo new favorite spring polish to be added to my collection (not that I have much of a collection lol) This is a beautiful mint shade with a tint of green under certain lighting. The polish does have very very fine silver sparkle but it is very subtle. I did add a Top Coat of my now new obsession Seche Vite (this is a MUST HAVE if you do your nails often)....

Which! by the way Sally Beauty Supply store has a great deal right now
where the Seche Vite Clear Basecoat is FREE with the purchase of Seche
Vite Topcoat! lasting until March 31st of 2012. So that leaves you with a
great deal of 2/$7.99 OR if your a Beauty Club member 2/$6.49. I advise
you go visit your nearest Sally Beauty Supply! (click to use the store locator)

Warning: Disregard my natural wrinkly hands, I envy women with beautiful hands haha.

Dark Hair to Red Hair

(Inspired by and Thanks to a fellow YouTuber: nguerriero19 )
Materials:
(All materials are from Sally’s Supply Store)

  • mixing bowl  $2.39 (here)
  • tinting brush $1.29 (here)
  • (2) L'Oreal HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair Only in RED $6.39 each (here)
  • L'Oreal 30 cream Developer $4.19 (here)
  • Quantum Riveting REDS shampoo and conditioner reg. $7.29 each (Got both on SALE 2 for $10)
  • Gloves (here)
  • plastic cap OR a plastic grocery bag
  • Measuring cup $1.99 (here)
Steps:
          Day One:
  1. Pour (one) of the Red hair dye tube (1.2 oz) into the mixing bowl.
  2. Pour 2.4 oz of the L'Oreal 30 cream developer in the measuring beaker to make sure you have exactly 2.4 oz. Then pour the developer in the mixing bowl with the red hair dye.
  3. Mix thoroughly the red dye and the developer until it is smooth.
  4. Section the hair in 4 sections by pinning up each section with a hair clip.
  5. Pick one of the bottom sections and grab a smaller section and apply the dye mix using your tinting brush. Start from the tip all the way up to the roots. (make sure all strands are fully coated) After a section is complete pin up and clip again.
  6. Repeat the previous step with the other 3 sections.
  7. Once you added the final touches to the hairline by making sure it is all coated unclip all 4 sections and gather the hair to clip it all in one.
  8. Cover the head with a plastic cap or plastic bag.
  9. Leave the hair dye for 45 minutes then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cold water.
  10. DO NOT apply any heat or product to your hair afterwards.  Let it air dry on its own.

          Day Two:
  1. REPEAT ALL of the previous steps EXCEPT do not apply the hair dye onto the roots.
  2. Apply your deep conditioner and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then rinse and BOOM your hair is a beautiful red.

Tips:

  • Purchase a Deep Repair Mask to apply after the 2nd day to provide the hair with moisture.
  • Wash hair only in lukewarm or cold water NOT hot because it will wash or fade the color faster
  • Do not wash your hair daily try every other day.
  • Wait for AT LEAST 3 weeks before retouching
